Vineyard Chateau Angelus, occupying 23.4 hectares, is located on clay-limestone soils. The average age of the vines is 30-35 years. Planting density - 7000 vines per hectare. Yields are limited, all work is done by hand. The 2013 vintage was harvested from September 9 to October 3.
Lactic acid fermentation takes place in small oak barrels.
The wine is aged 18-22 months in 100% new oak barrels.
Storage potential-25-30 years.
The wine has an opaque purple color. The wine shows a generous, well-structured taste with notes of resin, blackberry, plum sauce, tobacco and cocoa, with light musky nuances and a long, seductive aftertaste. The wine conquers with a luxurious, rich aroma, woven from notes of blueberries, mulberries, blackcurrants, Christmas cake, licorice and undergrowth.
